Sarah & Luke’s Wedding Reception

On Saturday, May 1, 2010, we catered Sarah and Luke’s wedding reception at the Ingier family home in Austin, Texas. We featured an antojitos bar with several types of dips and our special vegan queso and Mexican cheese platter. For the buffet, our main feature was the marinated ahi tuna and marlin and tempeh kabobs.

Wedding Testimonial from April Underwood

On Saturday, February 27, 2010 we had the pleasure of catering April & Brad’s wedding at Mercury Hall. April was kind enough to send in her thoughts and feedback regarding our service.

Is there a singular memorable moment of your experience with Ecstatic Cuisine?

We were impressed with Jesse and Ecstatic Cuisine from our first email exchange through to his post-event request for candid feedback. Jesse is undoubtedly a talented executive chef, but he’s also a great client manager who took the time to get to know us, worked with us to finalize the perfect menu for us, and was flexible in accommodating all sorts of requests we threw his way.

The moment that stands out the most for us was the tasting. It was a fantastic experience (possibly the *only* truly “fun” thing we did in 12+ months of wedding planning) and Jesse showed his creativity and understanding of our vision through the various options he presented to us. He was also someone we really enjoyed getting to know on a personal level, and the tasting gave us a chance to do so before the big event. After the tasting, we had the information we needed to make a few minor tweaks to our menu in terms of taste and budget, and Jesse was a great partner in helping us get to the final menu we used for our event.

What was the best part of your experience with Ecstatic Cuisine?

The most fulfilling part of our experience with Ecstatic Cuisine has been the countless compliments we’ve received from our wedding guests about the food. Every time we have spoken with guests about our wedding, the food comes up — common exclamations include “… the best wedding food I’ve ever had!”, “the best *meal* I’ve ever had!”, and just simply “oh my God the food!!”

For us, this is the ultimate sense of satisfaction – we chose Jesse and Ecstatic because great food was a very high priority for us. He delivered above and beyond our already high expectations, and our wedding would have been incomplete without him.

They were exceeded in every note:

  • The planning process was collaborative and creative
  • Our budget constraints were thoughtfully considered, particularly when our guest count exceeded our expectations
  • The tasting was a blast, and we only wish we’d come with emptier bellies and a cooler to take away the leftovers
  • The staff was warm and helpful
  • The food was absolutely top-notch
  • The cleanup, as I understand, was immaculate
  • The request for feedback further illustrates your commitment to quality and your genuine interest in the satisfaction of your clients
