Kosher Wedding Testimonial

Is there a singular memorable moment of your experience with Ecstatic Cuisine?

Honestly, the most memorable part of my personal experience was cutting the cake with David.  This was not something that he was required to do yet he helped me to meet the demands of the guests.  I felt this went above and beyond what was expected of him and showed a great deal of professionalism and integrity.

What was the best part of your experience with Ecstatic Cuisine?

The best part was the help with Kosher menu and various requirements.  When everyone else was speaking Hebrew to a Southern Baptist girl, David took the time to explain everything to me.

What could have been improved?

After giving this question a considerable amount of thought, I cannot think of anything that could have been improved.

How were your expectations met?

Absolutely!  David and his team went far beyond what was expected of them.  They helped with tasks that weren’t “their job”, created delicious and beautiful food, set the tone for friendly comraderie among the vendors, and did all of this without interfering in the clients event.

Do you have any comments about:

-The food?

The food was amazing.  The menu was exactly what the bride wanted at a price that fit our budget.  The salmon was exquisite and the guests said it was the best they had ever had.

-The service?

The service can be second only to the food.  They were attentive, professional and nothing short of a pleasure to work with.

-The overall event experience?

I doubt I could have been any happier with my experience with Ecstatic Cuisine catering.  They are at the top of my preferred vendor list!

-Working with Ecstatic Cuisine in planning?

This was my very first experience with any sort of Kosher event and David was not only knowledgeable but very patient and understanding with my learning curve.  I feel that David and his knowledge was essential to the success of the event.

Ecstatic Cuisine will participate in Edible Austin Eat Local Week by cooking for the Zhi Tea Festival on Saturday December 5 at 10 am at the Zhi Tea Gallery at 4607 Bolm Road. (Click here for a map).

Austin Urban Farm Bicycle TourThe Edible Austin Tea Festival is a gathering of the Austin area’s fine tea purveyors and tea rooms who will sample and demonstrate all that is mysterious and wonderful about tea. Chef Jesse Bloom of Ecstatic Cuisine will offer tea-paired food plates for $10/ plate. Also featuring tea talks, demonstrations, traditional tea ceremonies and tea products for sale. Tea participants include Barefoot Botanicals, Buddah’s Brew, Jade Leaves, Sesa Tea, Steeping Room, Sweet Leaf Tea, Tea Embassy, Texas Medicinals and Zhi Tea. The Tea Festival is also a stop on the Urban Farm Bicycle Tour

A portion of proceeds go to Urban Roots, a youth development program that uses sustainable agriculture as a means to transform the lives of young people and to increase the access of healthy food in Austin. 15 farm interns, ages 14-17, are hired to work from February to July, growing more than 22,000 lbs of produce every year—donating 40% of that to hunger relief and selling 60% at farmers’ markets and farm stands run by the farm interns.

Ecstatic Cuisine Thanksgiving dinner party

The EC Thanksgiving feast was a huge success! Staff members, friends and family packed Jesse, Lauren and Eli’s house with smoked fish, turkey, many veggies, gluten-free cornbread stuffing, roasted potatoes, gumbo, home baked onion and potato bread with olive, chile and honey butter, bread pudding, a tarte tatin and delicious jelly salads with fruit. The food was delicious and the company was even better! Thanks to all staff, family and friends who helped make the night so fun.
